Serve a evitare due cose: che la macchina galleggi facendo perderne il controllo e ad evitare che l’onda che si forma sul frontale sommerga il motore, danneggiando componenti elettriche ed elettroniche o, peggio ancora, provochi l’ingresso di acqua attraverso il condotto di aspirazione dell’aria.
